Owner Spotlight: Amen Iseghohi

I’m Amen Iseghohi, an entrepreneur, author, keynote speaker, and influencer.

I look forward to sharing my story, and in doing so, give you some insight into who I am and the vision I have dedicated most of my life to. Ultimately my vision is to help you achieve yours; hence, my title Achievement Strategist.

As far as I can remember it has always been my passion to make a difference on a global stage and to set the wheels of my mission in motion, I established a line of gyms in the U.S. and Canada as a franchisor in 2008. I then went on to establish an award-winning non-profit foundation and authored my first book. Each of my accomplishments were unconventional within their respected fields and were centered around helping others reach their ultimate potential.

Coaching, and being a source of inspiration has always been a part of my personality. It has never felt forced; so naturally, it became a true passion. While running my line of gyms, I realized more profoundly that there is more to fitness than being fit. My concept already ran against the status quo, but I felt that more needed to be done.

Again, I chose to be a vanguard in my new perception of wellness. I established my very first self-development center. A facility based on my five distinct pillars of self-care, and transcended the conventional idea of fitness. Through workshops, global speaking engagements, seminars, and podcasts, I have been able to focus on the other pillars outside of physical fitness that makes for a truly healthy and balanced life.

I feel very strongly about any cause that empowers children to be great. I founded the award-winning non-profit Amenzone Foundation in the U.S. to help fight against childhood obesity, and help build self-esteem. In Canada, I tour schools year-round educating children on how to build their self-esteem and handle bullying. My campaign is called “Stand Up and Speak!” 

I am deeply committed to the legacy I plan to be remembered for; which is to be a man of conviction that has inspired many globally. To do so, I have embraced the digital age, as technology has completely leveled the playing field. If you are instinctively entrepreneurial as I am, then this is an era of great opportunity.

You now have the ability to scale your services and personal brand. Those that chose to remain as things were in the past have a very short life span. The consumer or audience, regardless of the area of expertise we are referring to are all better informed and have more access to options. The opportunities are much larger, however, so is your competition.

Apart from embracing technology for growth; authenticity, vulnerability, consistency, and positivity have become the hallmarks of my success. A large part of my success is down to the relationships I build with people from different backgrounds, different life experiences, and different perspectives on life. Even when I work with companies, a connection is always made that could last a lifetime. When you love what you do, no days are ever exactly the same as there are just too many variables that make life so rich in the most authentic way.

My philosophy is to empower vision through action. Too many dreams and visions are never realized due to lack of inspiration. When inspired, motivation comes easy. I aspire to spark the inspiration needed to move many to take their first step because that is the most important of all steps.

Another dimension of my success has been my relentless focus in pursuit of my goals. If I can envision an objective done, I will not stop until it is done. I genuinely see obstacles as stepping stones, and the tougher the challenge, the more worthy I believe it is to accomplish it. I have always been wired this way, and I believe this is a quality that was instilled in me by my parents, who are both entrepreneurs.

Of all the businesses I have opened over the years, my most recent one gave me the most joy. It is entirely self-funded and mirrors my philosophy on life. I believe that surviving the ups and downs of business and having the opportunity to apply the lessons learned, is truly a blessing. I also feel blessed and full of gratitude on every day that I open my doors and work on building a global community

When I am not at work, I am an avid reader and love to read non-fiction, philosophical type books, biographies of personalities I admire, documentaries, and perhaps some cool Netflix TV series. However, most of all, I love to travel.
